Let’s Conceal With realTechniques by Sam and NIc Chapman
When it comes to concealing different areas on your face, different brushes will give different effects. Luckily, realTechniques have many brushes that will get the job done.
First, start out with a clean and moisturized face, next use the ‘pointed foundation brush’ to apply your desired foundation. After you have applied the foundation, dab your under-eye concealer on in a wide slightly curved ‘u’ shape or in a ‘v’ shape depending on your preference; using the same brush sweep the concealer over the skin and blend using small downward strokes.
Next, use the ‘deluxe crease brush’ to hide any unwanted blemishes or dark spots by applying a tad of concealer to the back of your hand or a makeup plate, pick up some of the concealer with the brush then ever so slightly, push the product on the blemish. This should be done with light-handed movements. Without rubbing the brush over the concealed blemish, smooth out the edges for a clear finish.
Last by definitely not least, use the ‘brow brush’ to conceal and highlight the brow. After you have done your eyebrows, pick up some concealer with the brush and sweep it under the brow to define its appearance and shape. Using the same brush, blend in a downward motion.
We love these brushes and it’s always fun to use them in new ways. We encourage you to try these techniques out! (pun intended) Like always, tell us what you think!
